Notice of Annual General Meeting & Presentation Day - 17th October 2010
The Canterbury Junior Football Club’s Annual General Meeting will be held at the Lees Park Clubhouse - Harmony St Ashbury on:
Date: Sunday – 17th October, 2010
Time: 10 - 11:00am (preceding the Presentation of junior team trophies & end of year festivities)
Presentation of trophies to under 8 - 15 junior players & perpetual trophy awards will take place at the conclusion of AGM.
There will be jumping castles & human table football inflatable for enterntainment, sno-cones & fairy floss. All junior players will receive a Free sausage sizzle & drink.
See you there for a fun family day!

Canterbury Summer Sixes
Are you interested in playing soccer in the summer - well why not play in the Canterbury Summer Sixes Competition at Lees Park, Ashbury.
Canterbury Summer Sixes has been running for 7 years and is a CDSFA & FNSW sanctioned competiton.
Registration
Player registration days will be held at the Lees Park Ashbury (Canterbury Clubhouse) on the following dates: Sunday 29th August 2010 2pm-5pm, Wednesday 1st September 2010 6pm-8pm, Wednesday 8th September 2010 6pm-8pm. Team nominations to be received by Tuesday 31st August 2010. NB: Nomination requires a $200 administration fee. Be quick and organise your friends into a team fast! Remember there are only eight teams per division. You need a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 12 per team. Should you not have sufficient numbers to form a team, we might be able to help. Please note if you do not register 8 players you will still be required to pay for 8 players. |

14/2 Boys Finalists
Congratulations to our under 14/2 Boys team who played their Grand Final last Sunday. They played an excellent game losing 3-1 to the undefeated minor premiers Belmore. Our boys can be proud of their achievement this year having finished fourth they played some excellent football to reach the grand final. Well done to the boys and coach Will Cox on a fantastic year.

Under 13/1 Girls - Premiers
Congratulations to our Under 13/1 Girl's who won their fourth consecutive Premiership on Sunday 29th August.
Winning in a penalty shoot-out against Russell Lea.
Our U11/1 Girl's lost their Grand Final against Enfield in a penalty shoot-out but have had a successful year winning the minor premiership!

Vince and Val Laws U10 Gala Day
Congratulations to our 10/1 A's who were victorious at our "Vince & Val Laws" Under 10 Junior Gala Day on Sunday 25th July.
The team won 2 - 0 against Stanmore Hawks.
Our 10/1 B's reached the Quater Final, falling short of a semi-final berth due to a corner count back against Epping Eastwood.
Both CJFC teams performed very well on the day and did the Club proud.
Well done!

Football Stars of Tomorrow
April school holiday’s, saw a football camp organised by our affiliated Football Academy, Nick Bosevski of NB9 International Football Academy with Italian Football Club, AS Roma.
The camp was held at Belmore Sports Ground. It was an outstanding success, with many of our junior players who attended enjoying the week learning technical skills by esteem coaches such as Technical Director, Maurizio Turrone.
AS Roma acknowledged the playing talent by selecting Canterbury Junior player, Joshua Karantz of our Under 10/1 team to attend AS Roma in June for a two week training clinic. A story on Joshua Karantz will feature on Football Stars of Tomorrow and will air tomorrow night on ONE HD
A wonderful endorsement of our club with the development of our junior players, Joshua is a wonderful player and we are very proud of him.
Joshua's story is going to air in EPISODE ONE of FOOTBALL STARS of TOMORROW on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23 at 6.30pm on ONE HD.
There will be two further screenings at 7.30am on FRIDAY, JUNE 25 and at 12.30pm on SATURDAY, JUNE 26.

Under 9/1 - Winners of Canterbury Junior Gala Day
Congratulations to our 9/1 A's who were victorious at our "Frank Nobbs" Under 9 Junior Gala Day on Sunday 20th June.
The team won 1 - 0 against a formidable opponent in The World Football Academy, who reached the final by defeating our 9/1 B's in the semi-final.
Both CJFC teams performed very well on the day and did the Club proud.
