Want to become a Referee for the 2013 season?Friday 25 January 2013 - 06:59:38

Interested in becoming a referee with the Canterbury and Districts Soccer Referees Association (CDSRA)?
Refereeing can be enjoyable and very rewarding. Aside from the financial benefits refereeing has to offer, there are huge opportunities for those who work hard and are dedicated. For example, our Branch Coach and Senior Vice President was a FIFA referee and officiated in the under 17 World Cup in the 80’s.

But to be a FIFA referee, you have to start by completing a Referee Entrance Course. Dates have been confirmed for Referee Entrance Courses for 2013.
They are as follows:
Saturday, February 09, 2013
Saturday February 23, 2013
Saturday March 09, 2013

As an interested applicant, you only need to attend one of these dates to complete the course. Once the course is successfully completed, you are ready to referee Canterbury Football Association matches.

Only 30 applicants will be allowed to participate in each course, therefore seats are very limited. Seats at the courses will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

Please do not hesitate to ring me on 0424 137 361 or email me secretary@cdsra.org.au for further information.

Look forward to seeing you at the course.

Croydon Park & Lees Park - when the grounds are closed.Wednesday 20 June 2012 - 16:01:07

We have received a number of complaints in regards to this so:

A reminder to all teams that when the council closes the fields NO-ONE is allowed to train on them for any reason.

The safety of our players should be our first priority and training on grounds once they have been closed is against Club policy.

Anyone found to be training on the parks when the fields are closed may be required to face the Committee for an explanation.

If you need to find out if the grounds are closed follow the link below:

Some teams have shown initiative and booked indoor training facilities. This is much safer than attempting to train on a field that may not only be waterlogged, but dangerous to run on.
